Check out my new 4 star reviewed recording with Tatsu Aoki. Described as “haunting, poetic and mesmerizing” and “steeped in mysticism.”
Full review is here. We improvised everything and used all the music we made that day- in order! Give it a listen or purchase digital tracks here. You can order CD’s from my store or buy them at Reckless Records on Milwaukee in Chicago in Chicago or Grimeys on Trinity Ave Nashville. I also often have them at my shows.
Here is a link to the Grammy Award Winning Album, The Wooden Prince by Bartok with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra conducted by Pierre Boulez. I played second English Horn with Grover Schiltz and didn’t realize we would have a solo duet section! I loved playing with the CSO and was so fortunate to get the chance to tour and record with them and work with Boulez. Here is an article about this recording followed by a link to the stream.

A link to my recent Bluegrass Oboe contribution to the John Hartford Fiddle Tune Project. It was a real treat to play with these Nashville allstars! I’m honored to be on the first tune Irish Familiarity playing solos and twin fiddle parts with the amazing fiddler Megan Lynch.
Another recent project and my debut as a rock singer! here is my remix of Becomes Me with Nashville’s killer electronica band Sugar Sk*-*lls. That is also me on Alto Sax trying to burn it up. I am really enjoy these collaborations with rock, electronica, bluegrass and pop musicians. Hit me up!
One of the most amazing experiences I have had in addition to working with the CSO, was attending Marlboro Music Festival. I played quintets and chamber music with some of the most musical, wonderful (and famous) orchestral and chamber musicians in the world- all led by Rudolf Serkin. I play English Horn on this exceptional recording of Schoenberg’s Chamber Symphony No 9 with Felix Galimir as concertmaster and conductor. It is on Spotify here. I will add more stories about this soon- it is a real honor to be featured on this 40th anniversary Marlboro Festival release.
My highly reviewed Trio album with Tatsu and Joseph Jarman is available online here , in CD format from my store and at Reckless and Grimeys. You can check it out here. I loved working with Joseph. I will add more about that experience soon. This album was also all improvised music released with not edits in order. There was such a flow that day!
