immersive audiovisual installation with interactive light
Frist Center for Visual Art, Nashville TN 2014

A responsive audiovisual installation and performance piece where an individual interacts with beams of light to create their own trans-media experience. There are three distinct movements to the project: Blue, Yellow & Red. Each has its own visual composition, distinct interactive framework and musical score. Abstract video and generative animations were combined with original music, composed and performed by Hunsinger on English Horns, Vietnamese oboe, Soprano saxophones, Irish whistles, found percussion and upright bass.

Soundcrawl Presents Robbie Lynn Hunsinger

"Hunsinger's woodwind playing recalls the Eastern-influenced post-bebop sound that
John Coltrane found on Live at the Village Vanguard, and the way she controls visual elements with
her instrument casts the artist as a snake charmer for the digital age."
